Anne Imhof's Faust double LP features design and art direction from Zak Group

Since 2017, London-based design practice Zak Group and Frankfurt-based artist Anne Imhof have been collaborating on design projects relating to Faust, a 5-hour production and 7-month-long scenario combining performance, painting and sculpture. The acclaimed performance and exhibition was awarded the Golden Lion for Best National Participation at the Venice Biennale. The latest iteration of their collaboration is the design and art direction of the Faust double LP, released by PAN Records. The music for Faust was written by Imhof and close collaborators Billy Bultheel, Eliza Douglas and Franziska Aigner. The album is accompanied by a booklet featuring photography by Nadine Fraczkowski. Titles are set in Their Bodoni, a custom high-contrast typeface designed specifically for Faust, inspired by the work of iconic Italian type designer and printer Giambattista Bodoni.
