Christopher Doyle & Co.’s retrospective Nothing I Know Belongs To Me curates a decade of design
Celebrating the Sydney-based studio’s decade of design, Nothing I Know Belongs To Me marks Christopher Doyle & Co.’s ten years of service, featuring a studiously curated collection of their creative output across 150 pages; alongside a candid conversation between Doyle and fellow Australian designer Gabby Lord. Designed by the studio itself and produced by publisher, type foundry and design studio Formist, the book’s title originates from Christopher Doyle’s adoration for Saatchi and Saatchi’s renowned Creative Director Paul Arden, who famously said: “If you give away everything you have, you are left with nothing. This forces you to look, to be aware, to replenish. Ideas are open knowledge.” As such, the retrospective considers Christopher Doyle & Co’s greatest hits, from their favourite identities and albums to their top posters, logos and more. All of which are categorised across the multitude of industries they have traversed – acting as a capsule of the studio’s curious, meticulous and often poetic practice through images and text combined.
