COLLINS transforms OFFF into a magnetic force with an identity built on physics and creativity
Since 2001, OFFF has served as a global creative landmark where innovative artists, designers and digital creators gather to explore the future of creativity. What began as a pioneering local event in Barcelona has evolved into an international institution, but with that growth came the need for an identity that could signal this transformation while carrying the festival forward as both a meeting point and catalyst for new creative movements. New York and San Francisco-based consultancy COLLINS has reimagined OFFF’s identity around a powerful concept: the festival as a centre of gravity for the creative world. “There’s a unique duality at the heart of OFFF,” explains Creative Director Rebeka Arce. “It’s a space where 4,000 people are hanging out, drinking, having fun and listening to music, yet at the same time, they’re also sitting quietly, watching a conference with deep passion and focus. That tension between chaos and focus, energy and introspection, sparked the idea that OFFF is both a festival and a powerful force that draws creative minds in, while simultaneously projecting ideas outward into the world.” The visual language builds on the physics of magnetism through two dynamic forces: Attraction and Projection. Attraction reflects OFFF’s role as a global gathering point, with motion that begins slowly then accelerates with intensity, like a gravitational pull. Projection drives elements outward, pushing ideas and creative influence beyond the festival’s boundaries. “We aimed to mimic the transition states of creative breakthroughs, creating rhythms of expansion and impact,” Designer Sergio Lairisa tells us.
