For the love of the game: 7 projects that capture the spirit and legacy of the sports we love
Design and sports have long since been deeply intertwined. From classic pennants and iconic football jersey designs, to the instantly recognisable logos of Formula 1 teams – sport brand identities have continuously stood the test of time. While the world of sports has evolved and continued to adapt in the face of shifting fan engagement, it’s always been bombarded by newer and newer developments, such as the booming world of esports and the steady rise of pickleball. To raise a toast to the deep relationship between sports and design, we have pooled together a list of identities that have left their mark in the realm of sports. Whether it be Saint Urban’s identity for pickleball brand Erne, or Forth + Back’s impactful design for SPIRAL magazine, each of these projects embody the vibrant, confident, and exuberant spirit of sports enthusiasts, whether they are spectators or players.
