Granzotto™ reframes pet adoption as finding life partners, not pets
Most pet adoption platforms treat the process like a transaction – sterile forms, clinical photography, and bureaucratic communication that makes finding a furry companion feel more like applying for a mortgage. But when Beatriz Granzotto of Granzotto™ started thinking about Hooman, she landed on something that reframes it entirely. “The brief was to rethink the adoption experience, moving away from cold communication and instead positioning adoption as something welcoming, accessible and deeply human,” she explains. The breakthrough came from a simple observation about how people actually talk about their pets. They don’t refer to them as ‘adopted animals’ – they’re companions, family members, life partners. This insight became the foundation for everything that followed. Rather than designing another adoption platform, Granzotto created what feels more like a lifestyle brand centred around connection and community. The identity deliberately avoids the clichés you’d expect – no paw prints, bones or generic pet photography. Instead, the focus shifts to storytelling and the relationships between humans and animals. The illustration style captures this perfectly. Playful and intentionally imperfect, the drawings show humans and pets interacting together, never depicting animals in isolation. “The illustrations focus on the interaction between humans and animals, rather than depicting pets in isolation,” Granzotto notes. “This approach reinforces the brand’s essence: adoption isn’t about ‘owning’ a pet, but about building a relationship and becoming part of a community.”
