LABASAD’s Motion Graphics and Product Design Masters return for May 2026
AI is changing the design process and the skillset required – but how do you learn to use it without losing the fundamentals? LABASAD, the Barcelona-based online design school, is accepting students for two Master programmes starting May 2026 that tackle exactly this: the Online Master in Motion Graphics and Online Master in Digital Product Design & AI. The Motion Graphics programme, directed by Tom Allen, offers a structured path through every stage of the craft. Allen co-founded Buff, a Brighton-based motion studio that has been working with major brands, agencies and non-profit organisations since 2014. The studio operates with a focus on considered, playful motion mixed with clean graphic visuals – an approach that informs how the curriculum balances technical proficiency with creative thinking. The programme spans 16 subjects across seven modules, moving from early-stage production planning through design and art direction, 2D animation methods, 3D animation methods, sound and delivery. Rather than generalists teaching across disciplines, LABASAD brings in specialists for each area. “That means students learn from people who focus deeply on pre-production, design and ideation, through to specific 2D and 3D techniques,” Allen explains. “I’m genuinely proud of the team of instructors we’ve brought together and the breadth of experience they offer the students.”
