Mostly Sunny roots Acure’s Farm Collection in the power of nature
When Acure and Apricot Lane Farms decided to collaborate on a body care collection, the partnership felt inevitable. The regenerative farm, known for its 100% pure avocado oil and its starring role in The Biggest Little Farm film, had long envisioned working with Acure, a brand built on transforming powerhouse ingredients into clean, accessible formulas. For New York-based studio Mostly Sunny, who’d been steering Acure’s creative direction for three years through a major brand refresh and multiple high-impact launches, the brief was direct: create packaging worthy of Whole Foods’ most premium body care collection. The challenge extended beyond typical packaging design. This was a collaboration between two brands with distinct identities, each bringing their own equity to the table. Apricot Lane Farms carries the weight of its regenerative farming practices and the cultural cachet of its documentary. Acure, after more than a decade making clean beauty accessible, was evolving its positioning without abandoning the values that built the brand. The collection needed to honour both stories whilst carving out its own territory. Mostly Sunny named it The Farm Collection, positioning it as fresh, distinct and rooted in nature. The studio developed collection-specific elements that would differentiate this range within Acure’s broader portfolio. A hand-drawn avocado tree motif became the visual anchor, threading through the packaging system alongside sustainable materials: glass, aluminium and recycled paper. The sustainability choices weren’t performative gestures but practical decisions that reinforced the regenerative farming story at the collection’s heart.
