Pop’Set reimagined: Antalis’ Olin Colours drives the paper range into a vibrant new direction
Marking the reinvention of the renowned Pop’Set range of papers as Olin Colours – formerly from Arjowiggins – Antalis has launched a comprehensive swatch book showcasing the series’ vibrant hues and quality stocks, demonstrating the creative power the papers can offer clients, studios and printers alike. And if that wasn’t enough, the series welcomes eight new colours to its collection. Antalis has something new up its sleeve – a new range of delicious papers called Olin Colours, previously known as Pop’Set. To celebrate the relaunch, the international paper distributor has continued its long-term collaboration with Amsterdam-based design agency Design & Practice to create the Olin Colours Inspi Pack tool – a practical and playful reference kit showcasing the capabilities of the range. “They’re created to show designers a wide variety of possibilities,” Ruben de la Rive Box, Creative Director at Design & Practice, tells us, “using different types of print that inspire and challenge the perception of what is possible with print,” especially on uncoated, coloured paper. “Since Olin Colours is continuing the heritage of Pop’Set,” de la Rive Box continues, “we wanted to create a tool that is all about celebrating colour,” resulting in layers of vivid papers interacting with one another. “The print designs are kept very simple on purpose, continuing the graphic motif of the Olin circle,” he adds, focusing on the interactivity between the colours, with the specific tones chosen to hint at satisfying colour combinations. “They are executed in various techniques,” de la Rive Box notes, “including offset, block colour foiling, transparent overlaid foiling, and many more speciality techniques,” highlighting the paper’s versatility across its wide, FSC-certified range of weights – from 80gsm up to 700gsm.
