René Bieder on launching his typefaces independently and designing 14 families within two years

René Bieder is an independent type and graphic designer born, raised and based in the German city of Berlin. Following over a decade of selling his retail typefaces through external websites, he recently took the leap to launch his own shop with a new and improved range of exclusive fonts. Alongside updates to six of his most popular typefaces, Bieder has also crafted eight new and exciting type families. In conversation with us, he describes the challenges and rewards of the project, as well as the habits and tips that helped him tackle the process. PT: Hi René! How are you?
