Souk by Both

Souk is a new bar and restaurant in Melbourne, Australia that serves a modern take on Middle Eastern food. Both were approached to create their identity, print materials and signage. The logo is a playful take on the Arabic way of reading from right to left. It is applied in a maximalist way, with the logo always filling the space it sits in as a reference to the overfilled souks that the restaurant is named after. The menus are riso-printed as an homage to the back alley production of booklets that is common in the Middle East. Both
