STUDIO MIMU™’s identity for Land+Form reflects a practice rooted in care, context, and co-existence
STUDIO MIMU™, led by Co-founders Mike Souvanthalisith and Muriel Ann Ricafrente, worked closely with Land+Form on a brand refresh. The Sydney-based landscape architecture studio specialises in creating harmonious spaces where nature and people coexist. The project aimed to evolve the brand identity to reflect the studio’s growth while preserving its core values. Land+Form’s approach to landscape architecture and urban design challenges conventional boundaries, focusing on the development of resilient and interconnected spaces. Their environmentally conscious ethos and collaborative design methodology remained central to the refreshed identity. The idea that “Landscape architects are seen as the ‘hippies’ of architecture” came up during the workshop, steering them towards a nature-focused direction, one that emphasises nature over ego. The logotype utilises a custom version of the Reform typeface, featuring a thoughtful balance of chamfered edges and straight lines that represent both ‘land’ and ‘form.’ This is complemented by Office Times Mono for secondary text.
