The Design in Motion festival is back, and is inviting designers to submit work to its open call

The team at Rotterdam-based agency Studio Dumbar are organising the second edition of DEMO – Design in Motion festival. With 5,000 OOH screens completely dedicated to motion design, it promises to be the largest motion festival organised to date. The Netherlands will transform into an open-air exhibition, with screens located at train stations, shopping centres, Schiphol Airport, Eindhoven Airport and Rotterdam The Hague Airport, on billboards along major highways, and in the streets. All of the media space owners have collectively agreed on 24 hours of ad-free space on October 6th 2022. The initiative celebrates the finest motion design from the finest studios, finest designers, upcoming talents and art academies around the world. As part of the event, they have an open call which invites creatives to submit ‘motion that intrigues, inspires, explores all aspects of motion and pushes the limits of the screen.’ DEMO Festival is curious about all motion design out there – from abstract to typographic.
