Together unites VoidZero’s JavaScript toolchain under one brand system
JavaScript started as a scripting language designed in 10 days. Today, it powers some of the most sophisticated applications in the world. That growth has brought real consequences for the developers building with it, such as fragmented solutions, overloaded dependencies and performance bottlenecks. VoidZero, founded by Evan You, exists to address this through a unified toolchain designed from the ground up. Its ecosystem includes some of the most critical infrastructure projects in modern JavaScript, among them Vite, one of the most trusted build tools in web development. Individually, these tools had earned deep respect across the developer community. Collectively, they lacked a coherent story. Each product carried its own identity, its own visual logic, its own presence. Developers knew and relied on tools like Vite without necessarily realising they all came from the same place. “We maintain many widely used open source projects, but they all had different logos with no obvious connection to the company,” You explains. For an open source company preparing to ship commercial products, that fragmentation posed a problem. The open source projects serve as the top of the funnel for potential customers – without a unified identity, brand awareness and conversion to future paid offerings would remain difficult to build. London-based creative agency Together, which specialises in branding B2B tech companies, partnered with VoidZero to design the system that would connect everything. The brief carried a specific tension: Vite’s identity could not be disrupted, yet every tool needed to feel like it belonged to the same family. Rolldown and Oxc, while less visible to most developers, still had to inhabit the same world. The challenge was not to flatten the ecosystem into uniformity but to clarify it through structure.
