To celebrate, we created a limited-edition bottle wrap that encapsulates the winery’s unique history and the legacy of a true pioneer in New Zealand’s wine industry. Over the course of 120 years, countless stories have unfolded within the walls of Church Road Winery. At the heart of these stories is Tom McDonald, often honoured as the father of French-inspired winemaking in New Zealand. Tom’s ambitious vision and entrepreneurial drive were instrumental in transforming the original winery, founded in 1897, into a beacon of innovation.
