Beauty in bloom: Alli Berk’s cyanotype-inspired look for skincare brand Anthos exudes natural luxury
Looking into many different nature-focused etymologies led freelance design director Alli Berk to opt for the ancient Greek word for flower, Anthos, for her conceptual skincare and beauty brand that works only with natural-origin ingredients, harnessing their benefits in each formulation. For a brand whose products are built with natural ingredients and is backed by botanical science, luxury and elegance were the key sentiments that Berk aimed to convey in the identity, where florals and textural elements both emphasise Anthos’s natural origins as well as present the range as a premium and elevated product in the market. “Visually, I gathered references from different high-end beauty brands, of course,” she tells us, “but also used more abstract references like how florals can create more of a textural pattern using the cyanotype process.”
