Matiz Brand Identity for a Handmade Ceramics Studio
Matiz is a handmade ceramics studio with a love for pieces that keep the marks of how they were made. The clay, pigment, speckles, uneven edges and small variations are all part of the final piece, giving each object its own character. For the identity, I wanted to keep that same imperfect, hands-on quality. Both the lettering and symbols are hand drawn, with loose geometric shapes, irregular frames and an abstract mark that feels almost like a brushstroke, a patch of pigment or a shape found.
